It's been two weeks since the Marbella Luxury Car Hire team has been back from the Geneva Motor Show, but a strong scent of the eternal Italian supercar battle has followed us all the way back to Marbella, and we feel the need to share it with the world. The highlight of the Geneva Motor Show, in our humble opinion, was the call for the next round in the Ferrari vs. Lamborghini saga, promising an exciting 2011 for supercar-lovers worldwide.
The new Lamborghini Aventador was finally unveiled, alongside the much anticipated Ferrari FF. We'll give you the bad news right off the bat – both the new Ferrari and Lamborghini are completely sold out for 2011. Obviously, you can still rent other Ferrari or Lamborghini supercars in Spain, but we can't guarantee that we will offer Lamborghini Aventador rentals or Ferrari FF rentals in Marbella this coming summer. If we do get our hands on one of these amazing new supercars, as our clients you will be the fist to know. Keep in mind, however, that Ferrari will be producing only 800 of the new FF cars throughout 2011. The Lamborghini Aventador is even more exclusive, with only 600-700 scheduled for production this year.
With rental costs of these beauties yet undetermined, we do know that the Ferrari FF is priced at $359,000 a pice, while the Lamborghini LP 700-4 Aventador is going for approximately $370,000 each. The LP 700-4 Aventador has a 6.5 liter V12 engine generating 700 horsepower with a Graziano 7-speed automatic transmission. Performance and speed are the name of the game here, with the Lamborghini Aventador accelerating from 0 to 100km/h in only 2.9 seconds and reaching top speed of 350km/h. The handling is reportedly superb, and the Aventador boasts the highest power-to-weight ratio of any car in its class, making it the most powerful road-legal vehicle Lamborghini has ever produced. Take one glimpse at the photo and you'll see that superb style is a complete understatement when it comes to this exclusive and exotic supercar.
Ferrari have taken their new model down a different road, showing off their first ever four-wheel drive four-seater car. The new Ferrari FF also boasts a direct-injection V12 engine, with a slightly lower horsepower of 660. It does 0-100km/h in 3.9 seconds, which is very impressive for a proper 4-seater 4wd, and reaches a top speeds of 335km/h. A Ferrari FF rental would definitely make an ideal car for families looking for the comfort of a 4x4 with the flash of a Ferrari. As soon as we get to test-drive one of these exciting new cars right here in Marbella, we will most definitely update.
